Terms of Use
Welcome to The Friend Foundation. By accessing or using this website (the "Site") or participating in any of our programs, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Site.
1. About the Foundation
The Friend Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our mission is to build communities of UpStanders — people who meet others where they are and walk with them — through the practice of friendship.
2. Use of the Site
You agree to use the Site in a lawful and respectful manner. Specifically, you agree not to:
- Use the Site in a way that could harm, disable, or impair it.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site or its underlying systems.
- Use the Site to send spam, harass others, or distribute malicious content.
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person or organization when using the Site.
3. Donations
Donations to the Foundation are processed by PayPal. By making a donation, you confirm that:
- The payment method you use is your own and is authorized for the donation.
- Your gift is voluntary and, unless explicitly stated otherwise, non-refundable.
- You acknowledge that the Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and your donation may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Please consult your tax advisor for guidance.
If you believe a donation was made in error, please contact us and we will work with you in good faith to address the situation.
4. Participation in programs
Participation in any Foundation program (including the HUDDLE, Friendship Academy, Circle of Friends, Voices of Change, or the UpStander Program) is voluntary and subject to additional program-specific guidelines that we will share with you when you join.
You agree to engage with other participants — UpStanders, neighbors, partners, and staff — with respect and good faith. The Foundation reserves the right to ask anyone to step back from a program if their conduct creates harm or risk for others in the community.
